Price Transparency and some things you need to know about Instant Angel

Meet Instant Angel, Dieux’s first ever moisturizer designed to be your skin barrier's protector.

Joyce de Lemos, our amazing Head of Product, co-founder of Dieux and award-winning cosmetic chemist is the mind behind some of your existing favorite moisturizers. Now, with Instant Angel, she’s created her dream formulation to combat dry, dehydrated and generally unhappy skin.

Instant Angel transforms tight, parched skin into cozy, glowing skin.

Deeply moisturizing, this nourishing face cream supports and repairs skin while hydrating with a blend of glycerin, lipids, humectants and free fatty acids. The result is a rich moisturizer that feels like silk without leaving the tell-tale “residue” of a richer cream. Instant Angel gives lasting hydration while reinforcing the skin’s barrier which leaves skin feeling strong, smooth and firm.

We're answering some common questions along with adding our price transparency.

How did you get to $45?

What skin type is Instant Angel best for?

Dry, dehydrated skin is going to benefit from Instant Angel. While we always recommend doing a patch test, this does have a dewier finish but won't leave a *residue* like some richer, balmier creams. This feels like a true moisturizer (not balm-like), and has a beautiful water-break upon application.

Why an aluminum tube?

In the US, we came to terms with the reality that plastics are just not recycled very often. Soft plastics? Even less so. Aluminum is easily recycled, and this material is already made of 30% recycled aluminum with our goal to be 100% recycled materials by the end of 2023. In looking at all materials that would best hold Instant Angel, we kept coming back to an aluminum tube.

How do I use the squeeze key?

What are some of the hero ingredients?

3% Moisture Complex:

A blend of Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Urea, Trehalose, Hexylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-51, Triacetin, Caprylyl Glycol and Sodium Hyaluronate. This blend at 3% was shown to provide immediate and long lasting moisture in the skin.

.5% Dipalmityl Hydroxylproline:

An amino acid that functions similarly to a signal peptide, this ingredient has been shown to help with the appearance of wrinkle depth.

2% Barrier Repair Complex:

A blend of Hexapeptide-12, Ceramide NG and other emollients, this complex has been shown to help repair age-related skin damage.

4% Phytosterol and Free Fatty Acid complex

A plant-derived lipid complex (phospholipids, triglycerides, linoleic acid and phytosterols) that mimics and reinforces skin’s natural lipid layer to help replenish weakened and sensitive skin.

2% Meadowstolide

A bioactive analogue of ceramides, this lipid helps reduce trans epidermal water loss repairing dry, dehydrated skin.
